Choosing Your Cosmetic Nashua Dentist

May 21, 2012 by admin

One of the major decisions that you need to do in life is choosing a cosmetic dentist. The reason being is that you need to find someone reliable enough so that you can entrust your appearance and aim for a bright and better smile. You can start by getting referrals from your family and friends. In fact, this is the best method of choosing only the best dentist that can cater to your needs.

If the dentist is well recommended by people you trust, you have the idea that the dentist has performed really well. In addition, you will also know that the dentist is capable of improving your smile the way that he or she has to your loved ones. Recommendations from the people you know enable you to know how the dentist work and how competent he or she is in dentistry.

If you cannot obtain any recommendation from your friends and family, the next option that you could take is to call your dental insurance. Most dental insurance companies have a list of accredited dentists that are not only good at what they do but also demonstrate exceptional work ethics. Your dental insurance agency can give you a list of dentists you can check out.

Insurance companies naturally want to work only with a Nashua dentist that has good reputation so that as a result they will also benefit from the performance of the dentist. Furthermore, you can also save money that you are going to spend because your dentist is accredited by your insurance agency. Not only that you get top quality dental procedures but you will also save some money in the process.

Once you are done sorting out the Nashua dentists, you need to prepare a list of questions that you want to ask your dentist with not only work-wise but also financially. Will the procedure be covered by your insurance? Do you need to do anything prior to the procedure?

Finally, make sure that the dentist has the qualification, experience and a physical Nashua dental clinic that you can visit. Remember, you will entrust your entire look to this person. It is just right that you find the best person who can protect your best interest.

BestMassage warehouse announces name change for two -cozy- powerLift Electric massage tables

2012BestMassage warehouse announces name change for two "cozy" powerLift Electric massage tablesBestMassage, the international massage table and supplies warehouse, is implementing a name change for two of its popular PowerLift massage tables.

Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2012 - Confusion surrounding the names of two PowerLift massage tables sold in the United States lead to a name change for both. The formerly named Cozy Liftback PowerLift massage table is now called the Spa Liftback PowerLift and the Cozy Spa Liftback PowerLift massage table will now be known as the Spa Versatile PowerLift. The word "Cozy" has been dropped from the US massage tables' names because it caused confusion with the Cozy line of PowerLift massage tables already being sold in Canada.

"We realized that the names of the US massage tables sounded too similar to the ones in Canada and we needed a change," revealed Peter Wang, Marketing Director for BestMassage. Since Canada had been selling the Cozy line (which includes the Cozy Flat PowerLift, the Cozy Deluxe PowerLift, and the Cozy Liftback PowerLift massage tables) for months now, Wang decided to make the change with US tables. "The US massage tables are indeed different from the Canadian ones, so their names had to reflect that," said Wang.

The newly named Spa Liftback PowerLift and Spa Versatile PowerLift both feature an electric motor which raises and lowers the massage tables by pressing on a pedal. The Spa Versalite PowerLift also showcases a manually adjustable head and leg section plus removable armrests.

"We are proud to be an international company for massage tables/equipment/product and we strive to have things as consistent as possible over all the locations. We have to ensure that our customers always know what they are getting when they order from us-whether they are ordering from Canada, the United States, Europe or Mexico," said Wang.

Losing Weight Can Prevent and Cure Type 2 Diabetes

Gaining weight is highly stressful to your body.  Sooner or later it is likely to break down in response to the stress and “give up” trying to cope with the abuse.  Western Medicine marks such a tipping point with the label type 2 diabetes, which essentially means your ability to regulate blood sugar is more or less broken.  In reality, it was heading that direction as your fasting blood sugar elevates above 90.  A new study shows that taking off a significant chunk of weight over a two-year period can reverse the diabetes and/or prevent it, even if you still have more weight to lose.

This new study is consistent with my clinical observations.  Many people following the Leptin Diet and actually engaging the process of weight loss have no trouble ridding themselves of type 2 diabetes.  Emphasis needs to be placed on the phrase “engaging the process of weight loss.”  While it is my belief, based on considerable science, that the Leptin Diet is the most effective and safest way to lose weight over the long haul, losing weight in any manner seems to be of benefit.

It is also important to understand that you do not need to reach a goal weight to prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes.  While it is important for your own personal metabolic health that you do reach an appropriate goal weight sooner or later, this is not required for most people in order to prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes.  In other words, if you can simply get your body going in the right direction and take off a significant chunk of weight, then you have created a metabolic environment within your body that is far less likely to have or develop type 2 diabetes.  All you have to do is keep consistently moving in the right direction.

This is very encouraging because it means you do not have to be perfect before you experience a lot of health benefits that prevent disease.

Researchers used BMI Body Mass Index. BMI is a statistical measurement of body weight based on the person's height and weight. It does not actually measure the body fat percentage but provides an estimation of a healthy body weight. Normal BMI for adults ranges from 18.5-24.9 (body mass index) to predict obesity in patients.  BMI Body Mass Index. Cissus Quadrangularis May Help Lower Excess Stomach Acid

Cissus quadrangularis is a traditional ayurvedic System of traditional medicine native to India and South Asia. It is considered a form of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) compared to traditional Western medicine. Uses many different herbs, massage, yoga and moderation of various lifestyle components to keep things in balance for treatment of health conditions. Deepak Chopra is a very popular author and proponent of Aruvedic Medicine. herb best known for its bone healing and rejuvenating properties.  It has many additional folk uses, including the treatment of various digestive complaints and ulcers.  A previous study showed a variety of anti-ulcer properties and now a new study shows that cissus quadrangularis Nutrient found in woody vines from the grape family. It has been shown to be beneficial in bone and cartilage health along with lipid metabolism and oxidative stress support. can significantly reduce the excess production of stomach acid on par with Prilosec.

Indigestion requiring some form of symptom management is one of the most common health complaints in America.  Unfortunately, the commonly used proton pump inhibitory drugs like Prilosec are like taking a sledgehammer to an important digestive process.  Side effects are many, including increased risk for fractures, pneumonia, weight gain, and overgrowth of very hostile germ gangs that further complicate the original problem.

Cissus quadrangularis contains a variety of phytonutrients such as quercetin, stillbenes, beta carotene, and other flavonoids Plant compound that is associated with pigmentation. Flavonoids have been shown to modify allergens, viruses, inflammation, and various carcinogens. Found in green tea, citrus, berries, onions, parsley, red wine, dark chocolate, and others..  Such nutrients help your digestive lining in several ways including preventing gastric damage, boosting antioxidant function, reducing inflammation, and preserving the capillary integrity and normal function of your stomach and digestive lining.

This new study shows that cissus quadrangularis Nutrient found in woody vines from the grape family. It has been shown to be beneficial in bone and cartilage health along with lipid metabolism and oxidative stress support. has the ability to modulate the excessive production of hydrochloric acid by naturally inhibiting the proton pumps that are required to generate hydrochloric acid production.

I should point out that another common problem that can occur in conjunction with excessive acid is the wearing away of a patch of one’s stomach or digestive lining, referred to as an ulcer.  Such wounds, when actually analyzed, are a cesspool of multiple germs including H. pylori.  Cissus quadrangularis demonstrates the ability to control undesirable bacteria that can be in your digestive tract, consistent with its traditional folk use for ulcers, hemorrhoids, and constipation.

Hypersecretion of stomach acid is an abnormal situation.  Plants that help balance the problem are useful tools.  Cissus quadrangularis offers multiple mechanisms by which it can assist a variety of digestive problems.  Since it has been ingested by humans for thousands of years it is highly preferable to man-made substances that humans have consumed for only a short period of time.  Nutrients seem to come with their own intelligence, helping the body balance a problem of excess by not working in ways that suppress needed stomach acid for general digestion.  While this latter statement was not tested in this current study, it is consistent with clinical observations and the general mechanism of operation of most nutrients.  As an example, antacids are now proven to promote weight gain from excessive acid suppression, whereas cissus quadrangularis Nutrient found in woody vines from the grape family. It has been shown to be beneficial in bone and cartilage health along with lipid metabolism and oxidative stress support. has been proven to help weight loss. And while antacids like Prilosec increase the risk of fracture, cissus quadrangularis Nutrient found in woody vines from the grape family. It has been shown to be beneficial in bone and cartilage health along with lipid metabolism and oxidative stress support. specializes in healing bones.

The bottom line is that cissus quadrangularis Nutrient found in woody vines from the grape family. It has been shown to be beneficial in bone and cartilage health along with lipid metabolism and oxidative stress support. is a safe way to help individuals combat indigestion.  A basic strategy is to follow the Leptin Diet, which often clears up indigestion on its own.  Digestive enzymes can also be helpful, as is taking friendly flora and increasing fiber intake – while getting the sugar, excess alcohol, and junk foods out of your diet.

It is a fundamental principle of good health to figure out ways to get and keep your digestive system in tip-top working order.  Many extremely adverse health issues, including autoimmune disease, thyroid conditions, heart disease, and many types of cancer actually begin festering and manifesting as annoying digestive symptoms that eventually have systemic side effects.  Ignore the red flags at your own peril.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Weight in pregnancy best controlled by diet, study suggests

ScienceDaily (May 18, 2012) — Pregnant women, including those who are obese or overweight, should be encouraged to minimise weight gain through diet, according to major new research from Queen Mary, University of London.

Piling on excess weight during pregnancy increases the risk of complications for pregnant women but doctors have been cautious in advising women on ways to manage weight for fear of any adverse effect on mother or baby.

However, the new study published in the BMJ shows that following a healthy diet, overseen by health professionals, stems excess weight gain in pregnancy and reduces the risk of pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, high blood pressure and early delivery.

Half the UK population are either overweight or obese and the rates are rising. Around a third of women gain more than the recommended amount during pregnancy.

Previous research has linked obesity during pregnancy with an increase in a variety of risks including high blood pressure, diabetes, miscarriage, birth defects, blood clots, pre-eclampsia, and even maternal and infant deaths.

The new research, which brings together the results of 44 separate studies, is the largest of its kind and includes data on more than 7,000 women. It was commissioned and funded by the NIHR's Health Technology Assessment programme.

The researchers investigated the effect of diet, exercise, or a combination of the two. They looked at how much weight women gained throughout pregnancy and whether mother or child suffered from any complications.

Although all three methods reduced the mother's weight gain, diet had the greatest effect with an average reduction of nearly four kilograms. Exercise only resulted in an average reduction in weight gain of just 0.7kg. A combination of diet and exercise only produced and average reduction of one kilogram.

Women who followed a calorie controlled diet were 33 per cent less likely to develop pre-eclampsia, one of the most dangerous pregnancy complications that presents with raised blood pressure and protein in the urine. Their risk of gestational diabetes was 60 per cent lower, their risk of gestational high blood pressure was 70 per cent lower and their risk of early delivery was 32 per cent lower. However, the researchers acknowledge that these findings need to be confirmed by further large studies.

Crucially, babies' birth weights were not affected by dieting.

The research was led by Dr Shakila Thangaratinam, a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Obstetrician at Barts and The London Medical School, part of Queen Mary, University of London with researchers in UK and Europe. She said: "We are seeing more and more women who gain excess weight when they are pregnant and we know these women and their babies are at increased risk of complications."

"Weight control is difficult but this study shows that by carefully advising women on weight management methods, especially diet, we can reduce weight gain during pregnancy. It also shows that following a controlled diet has the potential to reduce the risk of a number of pregnancy complications.

"Women may be concerned that dieting during pregnancy could have a negative impact on their babies. This research is reassuring because it showed that dieting is safe and that the baby's weight isn't affected."

Dietary advice was based on limiting overall calorie intake; balancing protein, carbohydrate and fat; and eating foods such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables and pulses.

Dr Thangaratinam added: "What we don't know is why diet should be so much better than exercise in controlling weight gain. It could be that it is simpler and easier for women to stick to. It may also be that eating a high-fibre diet has other positive health effects for a pregnant woman."

Combining data on the thousands of women who participated in these trials will also allow researchers to further examine the effects of diet and exercise across women of various ages, body mass index, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and medical conditions.

The Women's Health Research Unit at Queen Mary, University of London has recently established an international collaboration on Weight Management in Pregnancy (i-WIP) to answer these questions.

Test Baby Boomers for Hepatitis C, Says CDC

HealthDay – Fri, May 18, 2012 FRIDAY, May 18 (HealthDay News) -- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wants all Americans born between 1945 and 1965 -- the baby boom generation -- tested for hepatitis C.

Most cases of the potentially deadly disease occur in this age group, and most were infected in their teens and 20s and don't know they are infected, the agency said.

"CDC views this as an unrecognized health crisis and we needed to take a bold action because current strategies weren't working," said Dr. John Ward, director of the division of viral hepatitis at CDC's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention.

"The recommendation is for a one-time hepatitis C virus test for all persons born between 1945 and 1965," Ward said.

Deaths from the virus topped 15,000 in 2007, according to the CDC.

"The great majority of people -- 75 percent -- of the 3.2 million Americans living with hepatitis C are in the so-called baby boom generation," Ward noted.

Baby boomers have a rate of infection about five times higher than others because they were young adults before the cause of hepatitis C was discovered in 1989, he explained.

Before that, the blood supply wasn't screened for the virus, which enabled it to spread through transfusions.

Drug use also is a risk. The virus passes from person to person through shared needles and snorting cocaine, Ward said.

Hepatitis C can be treated with antiviral medications, and as many as 75 percent of those infected can be cured, he pointed out.

If hepatitis C is not detected and not treated, it can lead to cirrhosis of the liver or liver cancer.

"Liver cancer is the fastest rising cause of cancer deaths in the United States, and hepatitis C is the major cause of liver cancer," Ward said.

The number of new hepatitis C infections has decreased from several hundred thousand a year to about 17,000 currently. Besides screening the blood supply, this decline is attributed to improved infection control in hospitals and public education about the disease, he said.

The current recommendation is to test only people with known risk factors, which include HIV, drug use and people with signs of liver disease. By targeting baby boomers, it's thought that an additional 800,000 people living with hepatitis C could be identified and more than 120,000 hepatitis C-related deaths prevented, the CDC said.

The proposal will be available for public comment and then finalized later in the year.

Dr. Marc Siegel, an associate professor of medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City, said he supports the proposal.

"Hepatitis C is a real killer. It leads to a lot of cirrhosis and liver failure and need for liver transplants. It's a subclinical infection and it's often missed until it's too late," he said.

Research With Dogs Points to Early Test for Arthritis

HealthDay – Fri, May 18, 2012 FRIDAY, May 18 (HealthDay News) -- A new test that can detect and predict osteoarthritis before patients experience symptoms was developed by analyzing the joints of dogs with arthritis.

Osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis, affects more than 27 million adults in the United States. Early detection of the disease, which causes pain and swelling in the joints, would allow better treatment options, according to the University of Missouri researchers.

They said their test can be conducted using a single drop of fluid from a patient's joint. The fluid is obtained with a small needle.

"With this biomarker test, we can study the levels of specific proteins that we now know are associated with osteoarthritis," James Cook, a professor of orthopedic surgery and a researcher at the MU College of Veterinary Medicine, said in a university news release.

"Not only does the test have the potential to help predict future arthritis, but it also tells us about the early mechanisms of arthritis, which will lead to better treatments in the future," he explained.

Cook and his colleagues used dogs to develop the test, noting that dog joints operate similarly to the joints of humans and the test is being adapted to human patients. The test has been submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for approval.

Scientists note, however, that research with animals often fails to provide similar results in humans.

"This test has already shown early usefulness for allowing us to monitor how different treatments affect the arthritic joints in people," Cook said. "With further validation, this test will allow doctors to adjust and fine tune treatments to individual patients. Also, being able to tell patients when they are at a high risk for developing arthritis will give doctors a strong motivational tool to convince patients to take preventive measures including appropriate exercise and diet change."

The research appears in the Journal of Knee Surgery.
