2012To Cater to a Wide Variety of Fitness and Health Enthusiasts, inSHAPE Now Offers Yoga Warrior, Boxing, East Hamptons Beach and Central Park Wilderness Boot Camps.
New York, NY (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2012 - With the success of the inSHAPE Fitness Civilized Boot Camp and Moms Boot Camp, inSHAPE expands their class range from Yoga Warrior to Boxing and beyond. inSHAPE started the Civilized and Moms Boot Camp early spring 2012 and since its inception has grown to become a leading Central Park Boot Camp provider in the New York City area.
With the expansion, inSHAPE is delighted to collaborate with professional boxing coach, Roger Grand for a high intensity Boxing Boot Camp. "Roger's philosophy of form, control, and endurance mirror that of inSHAPE. He believes in educating his clients first, then pushing them to and past their limits. It's very impressive," confirms inSHAPE owner, Kim Watkins. Beginners and athletes that are more advanced are welcome but know that there will be high-level compound moves, while punching, with short bouts of rest. Roger brings his "toys," as he calls them, among them jump ropes, medicine balls, cones, and bags. It is non-stop movement. This class is limited to 10 people and lasts about 60 minutes.
In addition, inSHAPE brings in the talented Eastern Movement and Energy Expert, Joslyn Cooke for Yoga Warrior Boot Camp. Joslyn teaches the Tibetan Rites which will increase their energy and vitality in five movements; when mastered, this complete practice can be performed in 10 minutes. inSHAPE 's Yoga Warrior style sessions are a blend of these practices and other yoga traditions, including Kundalini Kriyas, or sets of movements performed rapidly for timed sessions. These low impact moves are surprisingly challenging, but suitable for all.
For the nature lover and hardcore running buff, inSHAPE's new Wilderness Boot Camp is the perfect way to explore the beauty of the northern sector of Central Park, while challenging the participant's ability to run, ascend stairs, negotiate trails, tackle hills, and make small jumps. For this demanding yet tranquil workout, Boot Campers will meet at the corner of Lenox Ave and 110th St, complete a short warm up, and then head up and into the hills. The workout lasts for 55 minutes and consists of running segments with periodic strength movements in between. "Plan to get dirty and have a blast," warns Kim, "but also be prepared to learn more about Central Park than you ever knew existed."
Finally, Hamptons Beach lovers, do not feel left out. inSHAPE's East Hamptons Beach Boot Camp is a wonderful way to start a Saturday morning before enjoying the beauty of the east end. After a short warm up the instructor will guide boot campers through body weight resistance circuits, shuffles and sprints for agility, core work, and yoga poses for relaxation towards the end. "You will feel absolutely fabulous! Your body will get the jolt of energy it needs, with a metabolism boost, strength and agility work, and a breathing and relaxation practice," confirms Watkins.
